well I had a look at several of your mods that I did not know, but I could not find anything weird (I was looking for missing light definition). But you have so many mods :-) Anyway I am happy to see that the test I added has corrected your problem. Have a nice game ! ;)

I really like your mod. Thank you!

However I feel the balloon light is so very bright. Not the light radius or anything but the gfx model.
Is there any way you would consider dimming it a bit? Or is that just me?

Anyway thank you again, will use this mod either way :)

Thanks for the return !
You are not the first one to say that these lights are too bright. Which is funny, because graphically speaking, they are just pure white, so it's some kind of a optical effect. :D

Anyway, I followed your request and optionaly dimmed it (edit the config.lua, variable "my_light_bright"). Here is the result :

Does it seem ok for you ?

If yes, please update to new version.

OK so what I did to preserve old users feelings is :
- the old bright model is by default.
- those who want a dimmer model can edit the config.lua file and set the "my_light_bright" variable to false

hope everyone is happy and, now let me work on my new Prod-Stats mod ! ;)

Hello,
how do you reset the light radius back to default after disabling/removing the mod?
I disabled it and the game removed all the baloon lights but it seems like the player light is permanently overwritten.

Strange. If you disabled the mod, when loading the map, the mod cannot change the light radius anymore (it is done at EVERY loading), so it should revert to previous light settings.

The only explanation for me is that you are using another mod that changes this data.

Is it me, or are locomotives ultra blue? They seem to have a blue light with the intensity of a thousand suns?

Edit: Found the culprit: ArumbaLights doesn't like Afraid of the dark...

Yes, they probably modify the same variable, making some weird results... :-)

I also get this huge blue aura when using both Afraid of the Dark and Even More Light.

I like Even More Light because it makes driving trains better in the dark. Can you add that to Afraid of the Dark?

Hi,

in my config.lua file, did you try to change "my_light_locomotive_still" to "true" ?

and increase my_light_intensity to 0.9 ?

maybe it will help in getting more light for the locomotive and have results closer to EvenMoreLight.

THIS was one of the first handful of mods that I installed, but not for the reason of being "afraid of the dark".

With the "DayPhaseAdjuster" mod set to my planet being all dark (I think I get 14% luminosity), I used YOUR mod for the personal light aura so as to get rid of the headaches caused by your character's flashlight movements (or of those MP-ers around you).

I did alter some setting in your mod to fit my needs, but eventually abandoned it, but...

The persona light aura persisted after untoggling.

Great mod. Just thought you should get a heads-up in regards to the persisting aura thing.

~B

If you totally uninstalled the mod, there should be no remaining behaviour, because all the changes my mod is doing are done at each start of the game, on top of the basic configuration.
I suspect that this aura thing comes from another mod, (or maybe the changes you made to my mod, if they are not in the same directory ? try to reinstall original factorio files)
