looking at the list of nominees, how is Factorio not on the list once!?
it should be on there for at least three categories.

The Forum-Post here got only 7 (!) answers... no wonder there werent enough nominations...

A lot of this sort of stuff has to deal with money. I think as Factoro is developed more it'll be widely accepted as one of the best games. Another thing is that most people (for some reason) rather graphics than gameplay, truly the epitome of "gamers". You shouldn't be too ashamed that Factorio didn't make it, in fact, you should me proud. Most games who get nominated have to *pay* to be nominated, meaning if a game you like is on that list, it *probably* paid it's way to be there to make more money (not because it's the "Best Game in 'Blah' Category" [Obviously though, sometimes you don't have to pay, but most times this is the case]).

Only why you have the feeling, that Factorio is the best game since Earth even exists, it does not have to be the reality for all gamers in the world.
You need to look left and right outside your fanboy bubble.

Factorio is to 'old' - the EA release was several years ago.

PUBG and Cuphead were more present to current players so they won.
