Just noticed the new trending section of the mod portal and this has been a feature I've been hoping for for a while, so thank you!

I'm also curious though to what algorithm is being used and what time scale is being looked at to determine "trending". Is there more information about that?

[T]he way it works is it simply considers the past month of mod downloads in account and if there was a spike in the recent days, the mod is considered trending. This prevents simply popular mods that get downloaded all the time from showing up. It's just another way to browse for fresh mods :)
