I was searching for a mod named "The Fat Controller" in the mod portal and saw some weird results.
Turns out the portal doesn't cancel the results from previous search queries.

So when I was typing it starting searching for "f" then "fa" and finally "fat".
The results from the "fa" search arrived later than the "fat" search and showed me those results instead of the "fat" results.

Attached is a screenshot that shows the problem.

This will end up being solved along with all the other mod portal improvements, so i will move this to the mod portal subforum

One of the main differences I see is that you wait for the result to arrive before typing the last character.
This will hide the problem because it will only occur when you just keep typing and results start returning in an unpredictable order.

Lets hope that this problem is solved with the next mod portal update.

For documentation purposes I've uploaded a gif where I reproduce the issue.
The mod portal seems to be very slow at the moment which probably helped with reproducing this issue.
