[Solved] Mod Portal is veeeeery slow right now?

I am having difficulty on browsing the Mod Portal.
I am listening Youtube music and browsing Factorio forums without difficulty, so I am sure it is not my network problem.

Sometimes an error is shown after 1 or 2 minutes of loading:

Application Error


An error occurred in the application and your page could not be served. Please try again in a few moments.

If you are the application owner, check your logs for details.

It seems happening more frequently.
Both Chrome and Firefox have the same result.

We just launched as stable, so a lot more people are using it, we will add some more power and see if that helps

Game crashed with API call error on click at 'check for updates' again.
Don't think that it should do that.

In-game trying to download things is as good as impossible, sadly.

It takes about 3-4 refreshes to get a response to search or sort and about as many to actually download something. Getting "Failed to connect to mod portal" most of the time.


Is the game really querying the mod list from server on every search and sorting order change? Seems like an incredible waste of resources when it could just download the list once when entering the menu and processing it locally after that.

I have tested it again. It is more responsive now!
Haven't checked in-game downloading yet, because I personally prefer doing it in browser.

Edit: also tried downloading a few mods. It worked, but the progress bar wasn't shown up at all. It took like less than a minute to download each mod, but the progress bar was always invisible. Don't know the previous behavior though. Can't tell it is a old bug, new bug or intentional.

Does this mean 0.13.18 is stable now?
You can't mean the mod portal itself, because it's more alpha then stable.

This issue is happening to me a lot now.
