Upgrading a mod get counted as a new download. This is abused by some developers to get more downloads.
Simple to do a diff over there versions to see the difference or lack of difference.
solution: only count 1 download per mod not for each version.

But i don't really see the problem?
Abusing the system for more downloads means nothing

For some people this is a game, about who can get the most downloads for their mods.
So when someone can cheat the download counter they are pissed

Then why not show the number for the latest version?

There are multiple download stats. The one used for sorting "Most downloaded" is very strange. It is bigger than all the individual versions added together!

On most mods the sum of individual versions matches the overall download count, that discrepancy on some mods could be explained by versions that have since been deleted.
