ore processing tires seems a bit strange

Tire 0: At the start one can only crush ore and smelt it directly producing one plate type.
Tire 1: ores can be sorted producing multiple pure ore types
Tire 2: combination of ores can be sorted to produce one pure ore type
Tire 3: ores can be hydro refined into multiple types
...

The tires go from one to many to one to many. Wouldn't it be more logical for Tire 0 and 1 to only produce the major component for each ore. Tire 2 sorting then adds a secondary ore output and Tire 3 adds a third ore output? It would feel more like a progression than unrelated processes that magically produce different things from the same ores.

it just a game. and ore sorter have 1 job. to sorting the ore.

the rest probably gone missing

That is not what I'm complaining about. The ore sorter puts the rest into the slag just like the ore crusher has crushed stone for the rest.

I'm thinking of something like:

3 Sapharite -> 2 iron ore + 2 slag
3 Sapharite + 3 Crotinium -> 4 iron ore + 2 copper ore + 2 slag

The more advanced recipes output more (as in different types) than the simple recipes. You get proportionally less slag too since less of the input is wasted.

The idea is that you can choose between one input to multiple outputs, or multiple inputs to one output. The middle ground between the two is the slag processing. The whole system is based on the idea to handle the amount of ores that bobmods and other mods add on top of that. But I also dont understand really what you are complaining about, seem more like you would do a different approach, so I would say: Start a mod of your own :D

It just doesn't feel like it is a progression. Not like you research better and better ways of handling ore. It feels like 2 alternatives that should be on different research branches instead of one depending on the other.

You should check again.

You can single sort Iron, Copper, Lead and Tin from crushed ores.

To get single-Ore output the next 5, you need Chunks, Crystals for the 5 after that.

For Tungsten you need purified.

You can However get most of the ores one Tier earlier by doing multi-output sorting.
