Solder & Cable Casting

This guide will cover the processes of casting Solder and three types of cable from molten metals.

These processes take up more space and are in some ways more complex than simply crafting Solder or cables with chains of Assembling Machines, but they are far more efficient and the ratios are simpler to deal with.

Solder Casting

There are three methods of creating Molten Solder in an Induction Furnace. The methods are as follows:
1) Tin Ingots + Lead Ingots ==> Molten Solder
2) Tin Ingots + Zinc Ingots ==> Molten Solder
3) Tin Ingots + Copper Ingots + Silver Ingots ==> Molten Solder

The third process may seem prohibitively expensive, but silver is used for very little and the process does output more solder than the previous two.

Once the Molten Solder has been obtained, it can be cast into Solder in a Casting Machine.

Cable Casting

There are three types of cable: Tinned Copper Wire, Gilded Copper Wire, and Copper Cable. The casting process for the first two involves casting two different molten metals, while the process for the third one involves casting only Molten Copper. In all three cases, a wire coil is cast in a Casting Machine from molten metal, and this coil is subsequently crafted into cables. The molten metal requirements are as follows:
1) Molten Tin + Molten Copper ==> Tin Wire Coil
2) Molten Gold + Molten Copper ==> Gold Wire Coil
3) Molten Copper ==> Copper Wire Coil

You mean the loaders? Really handy things, you can even filter the outward going one.

I haven't been doing ratios because the point of these guides is explaining things in the simplest possible terms. I'm leaving the fun of figuring out ratios to all of you.
