Is there a guide that shows you what ores gives what and how to obtain them? Also running with with Bobs mods.

Other than playing with recipes or looking through the tech screen, there a mod that is useful and a video tutorial series by Nilaus. It's from 0.14 so there are a handful of changes but it's useful nonetheless.

Mod = What is it used for and the video series is linked by Angel in most of the mod descriptions on the mod portal.

The mod "What Is It Really Used For" is a more effective mod derived from the original "What Is It Used For". With the newer mod, you can see all recipes, including ingredients and byproducts, by searching an item (with ctrl+f).

The easiest way to use it is to point it to your installation, search in the items or recipes list, and drag what you want to start from onto the open area.

From there, you can just drag the input or output nodes to get a list of all the possible sources or outputs, which you can then add and chain from.

It would be really nice if it also told you what research a given recipe required and what machines it is in, but it's far better than anything else I've found. What is it [really] used for is nice, but not nearly as quick to navigate and explore production chains.
