[0.17.4] Fullscreen game on Mac blocks notifications

macOS 10.13.6.

With the game in fullscreen mode, incoming system notifications (messages, mail, etc) are not displayed as expected in the top right-hand corner of the screen and the notification sound is not audible.

When playing in windowed mode the problem does not occur.

EDIT
If the game is started in windowed mode (fullscreen setting disabled) but then is manually made fullscreen by clicking the green button in the window's top left, notifications do show.
If the game is started in fullscreen mode, notifications do not show.

This should not be a problem in the latest 0.17 release (0.17.31)
