I'm unable to assign the Copper Wire recipe to an Assembly Machine 2 using the "Set Recipe" function with a circuit network signal. I haven’t tested this with other Assembly Machines.

I am going to ask GFX team to rework the copper wire icons.

Issue you have here is because you used Alt+C tool to set constant combinator with a copper wire, however there are 2 unrelated items: one is tool, only in cursor, spawnable by Alt+C allowing to add or remove copper wires (Copper Wire) and second is consumable, needs to be crafted and can be held in inventories (Copper Cable).

Second one needs to be set for assembler to recognize which recipe to craft as the copper cable recipe produces copper cables....

Ah, that makes much more sense now. I searched for "copper" and picked the first icon without giving it much thought.

I think the one that connects power poles needs to have the word "copper" removed from its name. For the Hungarian translation, I translated this name as if it was "Electric cable".
