been playing with a friend, close to 60 hours, bob's mods, current stable version.

we were wondering why there are nests in the middle of polluted areas but dont "get" the pollution surrounding them ?
https://imgur.com/a/EiVOvZu
there are some nests marked that dont get any pollution.
i mean if there is no new or less pollution produced ok, but shouldnt the existing pollution move to areas with less (like the nest areas) ?
especially if the empty field(the nest) is surrounded by pollution ?

maybe thats something for the suggestion forum but what if nests would have bigger area they collect pollution from which would kind of tidy up the map aswell. so i personally could see more clear where there is pollution or not ?

also if there is not enough pollution to expand on map maybe the low existing pollution should retract and consumed by nests if there are some ?

Don't make posts like this in Bug Reports.

The nests "eat" the pollution to produce biters for attack groups. This can lead to no pollution showing in their chunk, but pollution from surrounding chunks will diffuse into their chunk and get eaten, so a bunch of nests can significantly reduce pollution in the wider area. If you don't have radar coverage of an area, a "blank" in the middle of a bunch of pollution is a dead giveaway that there is a nest there.
