I'm on vanilla 1.1.21. I was midway through a game and started getting attacked by a huge horde of bugs, lots of them spitters. Unfortunately they got me...right at my spawn point.
So I re-spawned and was immediately killed. I re-spawned right into their acid puddle, which immediately killed me, and the cycle repeated until I had to quit and revert to an auto-save to get out of the death cycle. Doesn't seem right to spawn into an acid puddle and immediately be attacked and have absolutely no chance of survival.
I don't have any log files so I'm not sure if I can post a bug report, or if this is even considered a bug...and I don't even know if I can re-create it at this point.
Suggestions?

You lost. Start a new game with decreased difficulty or load an earlier save and improve your defenses.
