Please help with train stops

I have tried everything! Has soon has I put a curve in my track, I am unable to put a train stop past that curve. Why? What am I doing wrong. I can place trains stops before the curve section of track, but I cant put a stop on any track after the curve. Please help, I have tried everything! Thank you!

The only thing that comes to mind: you can only places stations where the track runs either vertical or horizontal, but not when it's diagonal on your screen.
