Chests and cargo wagons

lets say I want to place 5 chest one next to the other, normally you let the left mouse press and you slide the cursor to place the chests, but when I do that the chests stores himself into the chests I just put, so the result is that if I have 5 chests, normally I just end with 2 chests placed, and 3 chests store in the 2 chests I just place. Am I doing something wrong?, how do I place the chests then?
