Wave Def

When playing Wave Defense i dont get any funds for killing.... cant do any upgrades because of this can the devs or anyone that knows how to fix this get in touch with me so i can play the mode

That is how the scenario works now, you need to kill buildings to get money.

I wish that this was a setting and not a forced on to the players
The reason why I wanted to play it but because it reminds me of Call of Duty zombie mode which I like

This was the first time that I was going to play this mode (thought this was going to be really fine after watching a video about it) after finding out that I can't even enjoy it makes me not even want to play this game

I played it a lot but without the different modes to play it's just not as fun as it used to be

That's why I'm kind of upset about that
I wish there was another way of handling this but if that's the only way then
never mind then

As it was a recent change you can probably just copy the scenario from an old version (and rename it). Though it won't stay compatible forever without maintenance.

I could send you a local copy I have of "Non Wave Defense" https://mods.factorio.com/mod/NonWaveDefense. There were some weird bugs/glitches that I've mostly ironed out. I think on loading a save it can "forget" some upgrades, so I added a /reset_upgrades command to ... reset them (resets tech bonuses, then applies these bonuses, so can have a problem with non-tech mods).

Money-wise, I think Non Wave Defense takes a little longer, but it works in any game. It already had support for hot/cold biters and some natural evolution enemies, and I added in Schall Endgame Evolution enemies.

The old WD was really too easy (sit behind your walls and wait till it's finished), I think it's a good thing they made it a bit more challenging ;)
