2 belt lane load balancer?

So I use these lane input balancers all the time (the thing on the left), and I often find myself pairing them up to do the same thing to two belts (the pair on the right):

One of these alone is kind of bulky and two of them near eachother is an eyesore. Is there any way to tighten this up, maybe combining some things to make a 4 lane (2 belt) balancer (needs to handle two saturated belts)?

It usually doesn't matter to me if lanes are balanced across belts -- in other words, I'm looking for a tighter equivalent to the thing on the right but it's OK if it behaves as if the splitter on the bottom isn't present.

Or even just narrower 2-lane (1 belt) balancers would be an improvement.

Blueprint for the pair:

There’s also this thread: viewtopic.php?p=452645#p452645

The last lane balancer is pretty good.

Wouldn't just a splitter work?

EDIT: nevermind i'm just not realizing what these are for :)
