Anyone know why this train wont just take the right lane and go around? If I send it halway it will go, otherwise it waits. https://youtu.be/lkqL4m1wB6w

https://wiki.factorio.com/Railway/Train_path_finding

The two closer pathes have one station with a parked train each (2000 + 500 penalty). The third path has three stations (3*2000 penalty). Your train decides to wait in line behind a train to avoid having to go through three stations.

If you manually send the train half-way there is no longer a choice to be made and the trains starts to go down the only available route.

If you want to fiddle with the penalties, there is a mod for that: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/pathological. For example, you could reduce the drive-through-station penalty and/or increase the stopped-train-at-station penalty. Just be aware that this will apply everywhere in your train network.

Alternatively you could add a couple of dummy stations to the other routes, so that all 3 routes have the same penalty from stations.
