New pc, no more blueprints

Hello there

I got a new pc and now all my blueprints are gone. I still have all my safegames and achievements, just the blueprints are missing.

Are they not stored with your safegames? Where can i find them on my old pc?

Why would they be in the save games? Blueprints are supposed to be independent of that

They're in the main Factorio folder as blueprint-storage.dat

It is a design flaw of the game, as it saves your blueprints library separate from the game saves (a good thing) but fails to Steam sync it (the bad thing), so when you go to another computer you lose them.

I *think* you can simply copy the file mentioned by Serenity to solve the problem. But if that does not work (or worse, if it corrupts your new computer files... you an always copy all your blueprint books to a game save in one computer, then get them back from that save to the library on another computer. Clunky, but it works.

Found them in the appdata/roaming/factorio/blueprint-storage.dat

Copying them over worked fine.

I too think they should be cloud saved.
