So I normally use the standard bus that you see with 4 lanes, 2 spaces, 4 lanes, 2 spaces, etc. I still pull from my main bus the way I did before 0.16 to keep the bus balanced. Now, I see on YouTube play throughs, that most people pull from the main bus and balance with 4 staggered splitters. I assume this is using the input and output priorities which appeared in 0.16? How is this set up now?

Firstly using lots of splitters tanks performance. With 0.16's belt improvements it's better than ever to use inherently balanced systems and feed belts directly from furnace to production without any splitters in between.

Since I play modded games I long replaced any splitter based lane or belt balancer with loaders.
