Pipe Throughput

Help! My pipes are too slow!

I have a backup of petroleum in my tanks, but it still trickles in very slowly to my chemical plant, and my plastics are suffering for it. Is there any way to increase the throughput of pipes? I have tried pumps, but the problem remains the same. The Petrol just trickles in slower than the chemical plant processes it.

I think one petroleum pipe can feed about 30 plastic plants in theory, though I have never needed to test it.

Are you sure the bottleneck isn't coal or electricity or plastic bar inserters?

Is there another chemical plant stealing all the petroleum?

How big of a backup are you talking about? Tanks typically hold about 10 fluid even when they are "empty".

Hmm... I guess they are just running out. I am feeding plastics, sulfur, and sulfuric acid with one oil refinery so... I will work on getting adv. refining and get 2 refineries up. Seeing as I have 5 reasonably high yield derricks and all =D thanks!

At a guess, your production is too slow.

Whatever is using the liquid is using it faster than you can produce it. Short solution, produce it faster by adding in more plants.
