Boilers Heating Water at an extremely slow rate

Hi, Fist off i have multiple mods installed, only one affects boilers (Bob's Mod)
During the beginning of my map and half way though they were working fine. but now for some reason that i cant understand is that no matter what type of
Boiler i create (MK1, MK2, MK3) Will only heat the water at about 1 degree every 2 seconds. (It doesn't change if the water is flowing or not.) But the boilers i used initially before something happened are working completely fine. I'm using the Standard 1 Pump, 14 Boilers and 10 Engines for my power generation.
Any help will be nice.
I'm running;
Windows 10
8GB RAM
Intel i5
Factorio 0.14 (all mods are at (V 0.14))

The higher MK boilers and steam engines have different power ratings. Most likely you just don't have enough boilers, or there's not enough fuel going to them (the higher mk boilers consume more fuel too)

I know its not a problem with the engines as it occurs with the default boilers too, the boilers have a steady supply of fuel and for what ever reason they are heating still water at 1 degree every 2 seconds. while the original boilers i placed earlier heat fast moving water about 40 - 55 degrees before it hits the next boiler. This isn't a problem with the engines but with the boiler themselves.

Please post a screenshot of your setup.
My suspicion is that you have either hooked them up on the wrong sides or are looking on the wrong stretch of pipe.

viewtopic.php?f=51&t=4831&start=20
Code: Select all
MK1 Steam engine:
MK1 boiler: 4:3, 12 boilers, 9 engines. (the 10th would require a total of 14 boilers)
MK2 boiler: 1:1, 10 boilers, 10 engines.
MK3 boiler: 3:4, 8 boilers, 10 engines.
MK4 boiler: 1:2. 5 boilers, 10 engines.
MK2 Steam engine:
MK1 boiler: 1:1, 13 boilers, 13 engines.
MK2 boiler: 3:4, 10 boilers, 13 engines.
MK3 boiler: 9:16, 8 boilers, 13 engines.
MK4 boiler: 3:8, 5 boilers, 13 engines.
MK3 Steam engine:
MK1 boiler: 2:3, 12 boilers, 18 engines. (13 powers 19.5 engines, which is viable. 14 powers 21, but you can only support 20 on the pipe)
Mk2 boiler: 1:2, 10 boilers, 20 engines.
MK3 boiler: 3:8, 8 boilers, 20 engines.
MK4 boiler: 1:4, 5 boilers, 20 engines.
Not sure what mixture you have, but it isn't a clean 1:14:10 like vanilla 0.14
That said, I don't think that that really slow rate is correct.

It can be. The slow temp increase is more then likely an issue that the flow through the boilers is very high, or the temperature of the water is at maximum. In the bottom screenie however, the boilers seem to be functioning normally. I can tell because some at the rear part of it aren't working, which means the water can't take more energy. You do know that in 0.14 the max temperature of water is 100 right? Any boilers past water being 100dgr won't activate.
Also, chained use of the burner inserters like that isn't wise. Burner inserters consume a LOT of energy while they are in motion - about half a steam engine's worth. The top row of burners probably eats as much coal a half the power plant. Check if the furnaces in the bottom end even have fuel.

why are you playing 0.14?
