Quickest way to remove stone rocks?

I knew there was a way that I got rid of them a while ago, but now they only way I can do it is by shooting them with the shotgun.
Any advice?

You can shoot them with any weapon, the autotargeting ones can be fired by any object by pressing C.

Flamethrower cleans the map of all doodads... And biters, otherwise shotgun is the way to go early game on trees and rocks. If the resource stone I recommend speed module miners.

grenades are pretty cheap, low tech and very effective at removing trees
