Question about centrifuge

I have been playing around with trying to start getting Nuclear power working.

How does the centrifuge work - I have put 2300 Uranium ore into it and I have received out 230 U-238, and not a single U-235. Is that working correctly?

The output for the recipe says it will produce 0.0 U-235 and 0.9 U-238

I tried adding Prod modules and that didnt help either.

The ratio is about 142 U-238 to 1 U-235, but it is random so you got a bit unlucky.

The tooltip rounds down, which will be fixed eventually.

Once you get your breeder cycle going you can stop worrying about the refining lottery, 3×U-258 → 1×U-235 but you need 40(!)×U-235 as catalyst tho.

i feel your pain. i got a total of only 16 u-235 out of the uranium ore patch in my starting area and it looks like i need 40 for the kovarex enrichment process. i have explored a 3k by 3k area and i have yet to find another uranium ore patch so it's back to solar panel spam for me for the moment.

The chance to get U-235 is extremely low, but its there.
They best way to get nuclear power up and running is to save the first 40 U-235 so you can use them in the Kovarex Enrichment Process which does basically convert 3x U-238 into 1x U-235.

Xterminator has just uploaded a video covering the nuclear systems a bit more in depth: Click

The default chance is .7%. So, out of 10,000 ore, which would be 1,000 processes, you will "on average" get only 7 Uranium-235. So, to get your base 40 to use in the "Kovarex enrichment process", will "on average" take just over 57,000 raw ore, 5,700 processses.

The average from 2300 ore would be about 1.6 -- so, you've been a little unlucky. Welcome to RNG.

Is it a .7% CHANCE to get U-235, or is it some internal/hidden counter, that will give you U-235 every 140 or so processes?
I came to forum this morning, wondering if I can move my centrifuge, so that I don't break the counter and don't loose my progress towards U-235, but if it's a chance, then I guess I can move it freely...

Check the OP's post - he processed 2300 ore and still got no U-235. So not a counter.

I used productivity modules and ended up with over 7,000 U-238 before getting my first 40 U-235. I came back an hour later to find THREE U-235 sitting within about a dozen U-238 on the belt to processing, and exactly the same again a few hours after that ._.

Well and I thought I was unlucky... I only got a little more than a chest full of U-238 until I had my 40 U-235 together.

But yeah, at first I also thought the recipe was broken or something... even restarted the game several times. xD

Patience...
