Hi... i have been playing Factorio for a while now and am having an issue with the power... hoping someone can help out?

My problem is:
I lay down the water pump with 1 steam boiler and 1 steam engine add 1 power pole small and then add coal to the boiler.. walla i have electricity.
HOWEVER: when i place a science building INSIDE the radius for the small powerpole i get..... a big red no power symbol and my science center just sits waiting for power (BTW i have also added 10 x red science packs)

i do hope someone can help with this issue

PS i am also having an issue with de-construction of items using the right mouse button.. its flickering on and off.. but thats a seperate issue i will report once i have confirmed that its not just my mouse

Post a save with the issue or provide screenshots.

Which boiler outlet did you attach the steam engine to? The steam engine needs steam to run, which comes from the perpendicular outlet.
