Can't Download Alpha

I played the demo and I love it! I wanted to play the alpha on my Mac, but every time I authenticate the download it simply quits (and leaves the old version). Maybe I need to completely uninstall the demo? Does anyone know how do do this or have any other ideas?

Hi,

do you have problem with downloading the alpha or installing it?

Installing it. I pulled up the "drag box" and dragged the Factorio Icon into the Application Folder. I then authenticated with this computer's password. It began to install, and then the entire thing crashed.

I've tried both 2.8 and 2.10. Both act the same way.

I've tried this on both of my Macs, neither one works. They both keep the old Factorio demo when I try to 'replace' it with the alpha.

Strange, on mac normally they ask you if you want to replace the demo with the new file... Are you sure you are not developing the demo ?

It asks if it wants me to replace it. I say yes. It begins to load, and then it suddenly stops. When I start up the application, it's still the demo.

Have you tried going in the application, deleting the demo and then install the game...
