Possibly a newbie question:right mouse remove

For some reason, using the simple right mouse/remove item has gotten very slow. Not like minutes, but about 3x longer than normal. I seem to recall a suggestion that it may be too many items moving ( have about 600 bots buzzing atm), or somewhere in my system cache.

Anyone have an idea?

My first guess is that your axe has weared to the end. You can make a new iron or steel axe in the crafting menu.

Um, no... I want to remove an item (belt, box, pole, etc) by right clink and hold. It went from fast to slow.

That does still require a pick axe. If yours has broken/run out, even removing things will be very slow. Did you check to make sure this is not the case?

*facepalm*
I never even considered this.
Yep, that fixed it, sorry if I came across as stupid, but I never thought of such a thing.

I should go play LEGOLAND, or something.

Thanks, both of you for replying.

No problem, my friend :-) We all miss things sometimes that seem obvious in hindsight...

And now I just found out that my follower capsules don't follow., just hang where I pop them.
A bit annoying when I'm tring to clean out a nest.

Exactly which "Follower" capsules are you building? Because some move (eg Destroyers) and some don't (um... Not sure, but I think that's everything else) :-)

Defender, distractor, and destroyers all just hover where I've activated them.

Are you quite sure that you are building & using destroyers? They are the dark purple ones made from 4 (8? I forget) of the lighter purple ones which are, in turn, made from the green ones. When you activate one, it should spawn a cloud of 5 bots which zip around shooting anything in range with 'beams' of electricity. And they are hellish expensive to make at first :-)

Yes, I'm sure of what I have. In fact I've got them stockpiled. I didn't have any issues before, but now for some reason, they don't want to work. They shoot, kill, pop out on time, just don't follow. Damn near got me killed trying to clean out a Bug base.

Hm. That's very odd. Might be worth posting in the Technical Help forum with a screenshot? Someone may have a solution but, I am sorry to say, it is not I :-(

Okay, and how to make this screenshot?

Easiest way (for me) is F12 in game, then you should see your "Steam screenshot uploader" when you close the game or tab out to desktop. Upload to your Steam cloud, find the link (under the Activity tab) and paste it into a post.

I hope that made sense, but I'm at work & can't really do much more of a step-by-step ATM :-)

I wonder if a clean fresh re-install might cure it. I'm still running a bit behind on updates, and not sure what the latest version is.
