Simple train signal issue

I've watched tutorials and thought I understood the issue, but apparently I'm too dumb to build a simple train station.

I have a double track railway and for the start I want to connect my main base with an oil outpost. I want a loading/unloading station and a PAX station I can use for myself. Manually this works fine:

I got as far as making it work in one direction by (I think) adding a chain signal on the bottom right and a normal signal further up, but when I tried something similar for the return way it didn't work.

Or is there a better station design for this sort of thing?

The chain signal and normal signal at each of the stations have to be placed opposite each other as indicated in order for the train to enter and exit correctly.
They tell the train that it can enter and leave on the same piece of track

Hope this helps. :)
C = Chain Signal
S = Normal Signal

Forgot to mention, your PAX train can also enter and leave automatically. :D

Thanks. That was the main problem here :)
