I have a smart inserter connected to both a red and green network.

you can see on this page:

under "configuration" it shows both a red condition and a green condition.... but... mine looks like what is visible under the heading "Condition part"
see how the picture just says "network circuit condition"

How do i resolve this?

accept that the game updated since the screen shot with separate red and green conditions. Those were removed and replaced with only the circuit network condition.

The value read will be the sum of the respective inputs from the network.
