[0.7.5] [solved] Train not finding path

Post by immibis »

Save file

Relevant part of railway:
Image

The train marked "current position" is unable to find a path to Seraphins Station, even though the red path exists. It can't find a path from anywhere else on the railway either. Same with the other train.

All of the signals and stations show arrows in the right direction. Any idea what else could be wrong?

Edit: Removing the one-way signals on each side of Seraphins does not make it work.

Edit 2: The signal just above "current position" is one-way. Isn't it embarassing when you have a problem and can't solve it, ask for help with something on a forum, then find the solution only a few minutes later?

Rotate the train, or add an other locomotive to theother end.

The main point is, it is facing the wrong way, therefor it cant find a way because of the other train blocking its path.

Just off the top-right corner of the screen is a turning loop - you can see it on the minimap, so the train can turn around there.
I realised the problem after posting this, thanks for trying to help though.

Hi, I had a look at your save and the problem with the path you have marked is that it goes through a one-way signal when the train returnes from the circle (the very one in front of which the train is standing in the save). By adding a semaphore in the opposite direction to this location the train finds the path.
