strange grass, pls remove it, is there a mod for it?

Hello guys,

after 24h on my base I desided to found a new one.
Found a good place BUT there is this strange grass.
How can I completly remove it from the game?
Have to put belt over it so it disapper.

Open your factorio folder located in your appdata folder(write %appdata% in the start menu search bar to find it)
If didn't install factorio then open your unpacked factorio folder instead.
Continiue down this path in your factorio folder: data\base\graphics\entity\decorative
The folders called brown-cane-cluster and brown-cane-single contains the images you don't like.
Open a image editor(like paint) and erase everything in the images.
The game won't load if you delete the images so don't do that.

That should be it. If there is other decorations that you don't like then you can erase them as well.

Note that modified files cannot be automatcally updated and
an the autoupdater will abort if the update would touch them.

I havent actualy modded anything yet, so i post this as a question for modders, not as an answer,
but could not the "empty" files be put into some mod folder that would tell the game to override the default files with empties (but leave the game completely updatable)?

Yep. Following the same steps as keyboardhack suggested except copying then editing the file in the mods folder instead of the game's base folder.

It worked. But the data folder wasn't in the appdata folder but in the dir. where I installed the game.
