So I noticed that the liquids that are used in plastic production take awhile to be made and I've tried adding speed and production mods to the chemical plants to boost plastic production
Other than adding more plants and lines bringing in coal
What else can I do this seems like it's really slow

Also I'm not using any quality items I'm just not setup for it yet

Beacons? Even more chemical plants?

If you are using chemical plants, i suppose it's because you are still in early game, as for plastic , one could use some other buildings later.

There is also a research increasing plastic productivity, which would allow to make increasingly more plastic from the same amount of fluid.

Why not ship plastic from Nauvis? (I have not gone to space yet in 2.0)

Don't know if you have but double check that you're producing enough power for everything to run at full speed. More than once I've been troubleshooting some throughput issue to slowly realize the machines are barely put-putting along.

Also, if you've unlocked it, you can switch from simple coal liquifaction to regular coal liquifaction to get more bang for your coal.

What's the problem with adding more lines and bringing in more coal to make more stuff? That's kind of the general Factorio loop. Unless the problem is that you can't get coal due to Demolishers?

When it comes to modules make sure you're using them correctly. There's not much reason to use both speed and productivity in a situation like this, if a machine is input starved you use productivity, if its operating at full capacity and that isn't enough to satisfy machines later down the line then you use speed (or just build more).
