Game version 1.1.50 (and probably earlier)
Mods: none/vanilla/irrelevant
I built a circuit that registers when items are taken from a chest.
When a Item is removed a negative 1-tick-pulse is created.
But under certain conditions taking an item does not create such pulse.
The condition is: when a inserter puts the same item in the same tick into the same chest.
I'd expect a signalchange under every condition when a item is put or taken from a chest.
I consider this a bug.
I am not sure if the devs share this point of view. A change may impact gameperformance severely.
Recreate this situation:
Load the save at the end of this post (with or without mods - they don't matter).
The game is paused in editor.
Run the game for 15350 ticks. You can speed up to 4x. Do not change any entities.
Normal operation is: not lees or more than 5 speed modules are in circulation - either on the belt, to the requester or on their way into a beacon. When a module is taken from the chest a replacement is put on the belt and is delivered to the passive provider.
After 15350 ticks you should see something like this: A bot is closing in on the passive chest.
Forward in single ticks.
In a few ticks the bot will take a module from the chest while the inserter is putting another module in.
No signal-change is happening.
From now on only 4 modules are in circulation.
I consider this a bug.

That sounds like a weird assumption. Moved to Gameplay help.Calibretto22 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 7:34 pmI built a circuit that registers when items are taken from a chest.
