Why is the Wiki so poorly written and explained?

I'm trying to use cheats to test things without wasting time and resources in my main save, but nobody seems interested in actually providing information on the wiki

To teleport to a different planet / surface, use:

/c game.player.teleport({X, Y}, 'surface_name')


Be great if this wasn't the only line there.
It's not like there's 50 planets to name.

Hi, i am at Fulgora for the first time, and get a little confused..

I have unlocked recycle by picking up some scrap and recycled it by hand.
I get 2 reccepies, but i can not find the recycle-machine anywhere. In research it show that it is unlocked. What should i do to get it in crafting page?

And the holmium research say it unlock by finding a holmium ore, but i got hundreds of the ore from the trees (or the lightning rests.), but it will not unlock.

And a third about wires on space-platforms, I get the wire (red or green.) in my hand, but can not click to place it, instead i get the clicked entity's window opened. Maybe it is not allowed in space?

After restart the game, the recycler are showing up in crafting page.

If my memory serves me right, Holmium tech needs craft'ing. Ruins demolition provide loot, not crafting result. Crafting/smelting machine output and manual crafting (including manual recycling - manual recycling counts as proper recype) does provide crafting result. This difference is important for some other technologies (and achievements) too, keep it in mind.

Recycler have crafting station type: furnace, should be near other furnace-types.

As of wires... whatcha clickin'? And at which range? If I remember correctly, wire range is still quite finite even in space.

So i have to recycle until i get an holmium ore, the ones farmed from the trees are not counted.

The recycler show up after i restarted the game.

I have a red wire in my hand and try to start a red circuit, i klick for example a machine, but instead the wire snapping to the machine, the machines inventory pop up.

Why is there fluid temperature if there are only 2 temperatures of steam and for fluoroketone there are literally 2 different liquids? Looks like there are 2 approaches but has to be one.

Steam used to be just water over 100°C. You can merge both (vanilla) temperatures of steam and steam engines and turbines will still work (one better than another).

Some mods do make use of different steam temperatures by blocking machines if the fluid temperature is wrong.

Thanks to current version's Giga Pipette, I was able to do a quick test with red wire and some potentially troublesome buildings.
Either everything wires - or a message pops in.
Unless you've nabbed some legacy red wires (which existed as stand-alone craftable inventory items, not as cursor mode which wires things completely free of charge) somewhere, you've probably bumped onto some bug, here viewforum.php?f=7 a savegame + a step-by-step description of what and where you're trying to wire will come handy!

Yup! Which is hella annoying with ore chance being so low - but hey! it's one-time nuisance (per save
per force
)!

I heard devs returned Sandbox mode. But I for some reason has god-mode (without a player) but not a creative-mode (I have all techs unresarched and don't have unlimited items). How to enable creative mode?

How enter other planets in sandbox mode?
I think with the same command. Try "/cheat vulcanus". But im not sure.

Otherwise, you can get ingame explanations for all commands. For example, try "/help cheat" and the game will teach you all options of that command. This works for all commands.

Why is this 6 to 1 lane balancer not fully compressed? I used a very popular 6 to 1 train unloading blueprint for my gleba science here but the belt is not fully compressing. It's 6 stack inserters which is far enough to fully compress a 4 stack turbo belt (14400 items per minute). As you can see there are occasional gaps here.

Wondering why this layout is not working.

Looks like you need a lane balancer ? (The above doesn't look like a lane balancer, just belt balancer ?)
EDIT : Or, actually it is (lane balancing being at the beginning) maybe you just don't have enough science packs ?

Labs and Quality Science Packs

So Can Labs handle mixed quality packs?

ie Normal Red & Green and Rare Blue? in a Lab.... Will it work when researching a tech needing Red/Green/Blue.

Or do the science packs in a lab have to be the same Quality level? (ie. all rare) to work?

You need an extra piece of belt and stop inserting directly onto the splitter.

They can use mixed quality without problems. Of course mixed quality items just don't stack - but otherwise the labs don't care. Go nuts!

It's not lane balanced. It seems that downstream the top lane is consumed more than the bottom lane, so the bottom lane stalls from time to time and the top lane empties its corresponding chests more and earlier. The top chest seems empty or almost empty, so it cannot contribute to the top lane as much as needed, so the top lane doesn't get enough items to fill it completely.
Try to build the setup downstream in a way that it consumes both lanes equally, or append a 1:1 lane balancer to your existing balancer.

But this shouldn't be an issue when the other half of the splitter is filling the other lane of the belt ??
(But yeah, the splitter might as well not exist here.)

Another possible issue is that the belt is being unloaded one-sided somewhere downstream. That can be fixed with another 1 to 1 lane balancer just before that location.
