I did simple item counter with displays. Is there a better way with less parts?

You can do the division inside the display panel.

That's what I made. Place the blueprint once. Hold shift and drag south to add more rows. Input item quantities in the constant combinator or through signals.

Values from 10k and above are displayed as 9999. Negative values are displayed as a dash.
