Hello everyone!

I was looking for a dedicated server tool to suit my needs, but unfortunately i couldn't find any so i decide to make one my one.

Factorio Server Launcher is a tool to run a Dedicated Factorio server.
This tool allow you to host a dedicated server on the same machine the game is running and still be able to connect and play.

Supports ONLY Steam and SteamCMD installation of Factorio!

Your dedicated server launcher is really great! The only issue I have is that the mods don’t seem to load. I can’t seem to figure it out. I have them in the appdata directory under mods, I can load them fine in a normal multiplayer game but I can’t get them to load through the launcher. It’s actually only one mod, trying to make it as simple as possible

hello does the application still work? I have this problem. and even if I want to created a map the generated button stays off

Made an account to post here. The tool is nonfunctional now, it never makes it past "starting server" and trying more than once results in an unhandled exception and crash. I just spent 4 hours trying to setup the server with SteamCMD, which I'm experienced with, but was completely unable to. I tried this tool and it also did not work, I don't understand what I'm doing wrong and I give up, I just set up servers for 3 other games with no problems but Factorio wants me to go fuck myself.

Yes it still works and i also updated it with the ability to run a server and a game client on the same computer.

Hey, just wanted to chime in saying I can't play the game from the same computer I'm launching the server on.

My friend is able to connect to the server without any issue, but I get the error message:
Couldn't establish network communication with the server.

Is there anything special I need to set up to get this to work?

Oh man, this thing looks awesome! I can see you've put a lot of effort into this and I respect that as a programmer
I really wish I checked the forums for this kind of stuff, because I ended up making a batch program to do this for me (whoopsies)
Which language did you make this in? How difficult was it to make? I'm interested in the programming side of things (as well as running over some spawners with a tank)

Looking at the github, it's C#.

oh, thanks for this great tool! I tried few ways to start my own server on Win 10, and only your soft works for me. Sometimes it shows bug as described above, but continue works.

I'm running Windows 10 and I receive this error. What am I doing wrong?

Looks like the Launcher can't handle that the Main steam Library is on Drive (C:), and Most of my Common files (games) are on a 3 TB drive (H:).

I got this to work on Win 7 Home. (after moving my factorio install directory back to drive c:)

getting a couple of issues also, though I set the steam path in the program, it wont change the path the program actually uses one of my friends who I want to play with lives in a country where he can only connect to games running on dedicated servers or something
