Hi Guys

I have a problem. I would like to install Factorio on a Microsoft 2012 Server. However, he breaks every time from 53% and shows error. I simply can not find a solution.
I hope you can help me.
Sorry for my bad English.

Thanks

Sounds like not enough VRAM. System information and log file could help verify that.
At any rate, you may want to wait a few more days until 0.12 comes out, as it should have a headless (dedicated server) option.

I'm hardly a Windows expert, but as I understand it, DirectX isn't enabled on Windows Server. Since the Windows builds of Factorio use DirectX, that means you can't run it on Windows Server.

a bit older thread, but i'm about to build a windows 2012 r2 server and it does indeed come with Directx as per Micro$haft. once it's built, I'll give the headless server a spin to see the results.

I'm running a Factorio server on Windows Server 2012 R2 without issue.

I just copied my Factorio folder from Steam, copied the map into the AppData folder for the user I was running it as and then started Factorio.exe with --start-server and the map name.

This is in a Dell R510 so it didn't have a dedicated graphics card, it just has a built-in Matrox G200eW.
