when dragging assemblers there remained a gap. This has not happened to me in ages before, but i turned on smart belt today, so it may be related to that.
Not a bug?
try do this slowly, or hold mouse and move with A

You are both wrong, but keep try guessing. Even a blind chicken can find a grain.

I am not able to reproduce the problem,
The video is very nice for demonstrating the issue, however it doesn't obviate the need for more detailed reproduction steps
You also seem to have a lot of other similar issue, do you have some software or overlays or something that might be messing with your device input?

Hello,
this happens to me exclusively when I start dragging on an already placed entity. The gap will always be between the placed entity and the next one I intend to place. When I start dragging on an empty tile there is no limit on how fast I can drag, there will never be a gap.

Excellent job! I was not able to figure it out myself, but this is reproducing it 100% consistent now ! Thank you!

i must be messing up because i can't reproduce this on my map with Schall's scaled machines. i'm constantly running along with blueprints to place things, but perhaps it's because you're moving your mouse and not using the 'a' key.

Suprisingly, I was able to reproduce the issue:
