Crash when updating game [0.17.54]

My spare PC has Factorio [0.17.54] installed via the zip package installed from the Factorio website (it has been updated several times throughout 0.17) and crashed either during update to [0.17.66], or when rebooting the game afterwards. It's not repeatable with exact conditions, since it is up to date now, but perhaps the log will have something interesting in it.

The game does show as [0.17.66] and can connect to multiplayer games and function correctly, I just wanted to share the log.

How it happened:
Run Factorio by double left-clicking Factorio desktop shortcut
Left click "About"
Left click "Check Updates"
Left click "Update Game" (or similar wording)
The game then started downloading the update, it made some progress when I checked on it a couple of times but after a few minutes I returned to Windows 7 desktop with a Factorio crash notification.

This was fixed in 0.17.55 and happened in both 53 and 54. To take care of it, however, you'll need to manually update to 0.17.55 or later (if you use the zip, download the whole zip and overwrite everything, or download the exe/msi and install from that), or else you may end up with crashes in the future, if I understood everything correctly.

0.17.54 (+-) updater was crashing, but that has been fixed. Since it managed to update the game to 0.17.66 all should be good now.
