11.7 Multiplayer Crashes

11.7 Multiplayer Crashes

Single player works fine with no problems but when I try to connect to my mom's game my game crashes before it can even attempt to load anything. Her game does not crash. We have identical game settings and versions (11.7). She is using OS X Yosemite and I am using Windows 7.

What I have tried:

Completely uninstalled the game on both computers, restarted, installed the game on both computers, restarted, reset all firewall permissions, restarted. I also tried installing 11.6 on both with the needless amount of restarts method. For whatever reason 1/2 the files for 11.6 are missing for the mac when I install it. I downloaded it 3 times now, making sure to uninstall the damaged version and eject the downloaded .dmg file. I'd prefer not to use 11.5 because the game would crash every time she opened the UI for assembly machines, but if that's the only way to make it work, so be it I suppose.

Can anyone tell me if I'm just an idiot or if this is something that needs to be looked into.

Forgot to mention neither computer has any mods installed.

Hello, there are bugs relating to connecting multiplayer game, we fixed some of those for 0.11.8
Sorry for the trouble, but 0.11 is experimental version and the multiplayer has lot of different possibilities to go wrong ...

That's completely understandable. These things happen when a game is under development. I didn't see my issue listed as an issue for yesterday's update, so I felt it was worth bringing it to someone's attention, especially since an outdated pc connecting to a mac seems like it would be a not immediately thought of scenario to test. Anyway, thanks for the quick response and we'll just wait for 11.8

11.8 fixed all issues. I wasn't expecting that to show up until after Christmas, so thanks for the expediency. It's so nice to have devs that actually care about what they're doing. Keep up the good work.
