[0.17.52] Mod update fails due to mods having no dependencies

Version from which I started observing the behavior: 0.17.46
Related to fix for bug 70993

Short Description
Mod update feature does not work if some of the mods on the portal have no dependencies, not even "base". One such mod is Klonan's KS_Power.

Expected Behavior
As such mods are supported by the game itself, the mod updater should also support them. Moreover, it should not fail the entire operation of parsing the response JSON, but should preserve the data that it can parse, meaning mods that do have dependencies and have updates, should show the update option.

Replication Steps
  1. Ensure KS_Power is installed
  2. Launch game
  3. Choose Mods from the menu -> Navigate to Updates tab
  4. Observe that there is a warning sign and the message "Unable to check for updates". See the attached log for the full URL query and the error message.

Thanks for the report. This ended up being a multi-part problem.
  • The mod portal shouldn't have allowed those older broken versions of the mod to be uploaded (the dependencies list is incorrect)
  • The mod portal shouldn't be giving incompatible game version of mods when the game queries for updates
  • The mod author should delete the bad versions from 0.13 since they won't work for any game version anyway
In the meantime I've changed the game so it ignores malformed older game version releases and Sanqui is working on making the mod portal not show old game version releases.
