Got this too , right after completing the coal extraction objective. Here's the code it gives :

Code: Select all

The scenario level caused a non-recoverable error.
Please report this error to the scenario author.

Didn't happen in previous 0.17.x versions.

This just happened to me, too. 0.17.9, Windows 7, 64-bit, zip package.

Just in case it's relevant, I, too, used a 2-miner coal loop before the scenario required constructing a second burner miner.

Here's my complete factorio-current.log:

Just got the same error I believe. It seemed to have happened because I was blocking the miner from the robot? I completed the mission to mine coal in that second and it crashed.

I'm getting a similar error too. I also have a save file a second before the error happens, if someone can tell me where to send it?

I believe I'm also getting this error. I've attached a save file (
Error.zip
Game save from tutorial. Completing the current objective will cause the crash.
(2.53 MiB) Downloaded 184 times
) where once you fetch the coal out of the miner it will advance the objective and crash.

Got the same error message as the op.

Save file is attached.

Tried some different placements etc., but always got the same error.

edit 1: ok, seems to happen when I pick up the 5th coal for the task of having 5 coal in my inventory.
edit 1.1: bug occurs shortly after completing the "Gather resources automatically" task. It does not matter, if 5 coal is present in inventory even before the task is given (and before the 9 coal are mined by the drill).
edit 2: I have prepared a save game with 4 coal in inventory and 3 possibilities to pick up the 5th (mine, from belt, from drill inventory)

Same issue here. Not sure what exactly I did, but I wasn't following the objectives exactly (built a bunch more drills and furnaces than needed, had stone being extracted into a chest and two coal drills feeding each other). IIRC I got the error when placing a mining drill on the iron patch.

Hi,

Same error here - repeatable - code both times:

Code: Select all

Error while running event level::on_tick (ID 0)
__base__/lualib/compi.lua:97: bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil)
stack traceback:
	[C]: in function 'pairs'

	__base__/lualib/npe/helper_story.lua:40: in function '?'
	__base__/lualib/event_handler.lua:7: in function <__base__/lualib/event_handler.lua:4>

======

The scenario level caused a non-recoverable error.
Please report this error to the scenario author.

Also had this issue. It occurs as soon as the "Mining automation" objective begins, seemingly regardless of the player's actions up to that point.

I can confirm this.

I got the above just after collecting the 9 coal for the scenario. I took the coal from a stone furnace used as a coal chest, but it wasn't enough so I took the from the fuel slot of the burner inserter to get the 9 coal. It then crashed.

Just in case it's relevant, I, too, used a 2-miner coal loop before the scenario required constructing a second burner miner.

Not, it is not relevant. It crashes the same way with one coal miner mining into a chest.

It crashes when the new objective begins.

Same issue on Windows 10, fatal error just after finishing coal-mining objective.
