Started the first scenario and this was the very first thing that happened.

I noticed a related issue (occlusion between UI elements) - a tooltip can be hidden behind UI windows (e.g. behind crafting menu after the previous tooltip suggested to "press E ..."):

The speech bubbles hiding behind the crafting menu is intended - it is part of the world and the gui occludes the world.
As for the flying text notification at the very start, that's fixed for the next version.
