The closest you can get is a setup with port triggering configured, but then you'd need the client to send occasional UDP packets in order to actually trip the trigger. Otherwise you have to do the full STUN dance. Of course, the new server mode works and only one machine on the LAN needs to be exposed publicly (via a port forward rule). And, that all assumes you can tell the client to use different ports (single port behind NAT is impossible). Still, it'd be nice to have both options available for internet play.
