[0.16.4] Huge lag when switch from map-view to zoom-to-world

Factorio version: 0.16.4, Steam
OS: Windows 7 x64

In 0.16 I noticed that sometimes there become huuuuuge lag (about 30 secs) when zooming map to zoom-to-world view. In 0.15 there was everything alright. I can't actually catch situations when this bug appears, because when I redo the same thing on the same place, it works ok. But when next time biters attack and I quickly try to look there with zoom-to-world feature - everything hangs again.

I'm sorry for such an unclear report, but it really annoying me for several days and I really surprised there is not a single another report on this forum about it.

It is probably specific to your machine, so factorio-current.log and your save file would be helpful.

Yes, sure. Though, as I said, it's hard to reproduce and I still can't catch the moment when this lag appears...

Try if "Video memory usage: high" helps.

Thanks for the report.
It should be better in 0.16.5

I agree with Loewchen your graphics card should handle medium or even high video memory usage setting, but thank you for testing 'low' setting :)

Thank you! You right, seems like this solves the problem! At least, there was not a single lag for the last day.
