Technically, it's correct as it is, but many people just don't know the proper usage. I often have to look it up to remind myself, and looked it up this time.
Reading the FFFs over time, the writing is, usually, the best of any game I've seen. They actually nailed it here, it's just not colloquially common because people don't know the proper usage.

A more neutral tweak (to avoid a grammatical debate) could be:
Can't play replay--data not found.

Okay, since we are apparently going there, I'd think replay data would count as a singular item instead of a mass of sub-items since it is only valid if whole and are specific to an instance of a save thus plural replay data would imply multiple saves were checked instead of one. Please note I'm an English as second language speaker and have not checked relevant rules. This is solely based on my personal tests whether singular or plural applies. Regarding your link, if valid I'd argue replay data would more likely fall under the same heading as the [glass of] water example.
