Pipette tool isn't disabled in the transport belt madness campaign. This allows players to 'pick' items such as power poles, solar panels and, more problematically, working inserters and chests.

I have my pipette tool bound to middle click, and middle clicking on a solar panel will spawn 50 of them into my hotbar. All items on the map worked. See attached image.
