Hi all, either I'm not doing it right and missing something or it's not working as intended:

1: I start a new rail. place 5 or 6 straight track down. Lets call each ends of this track point A and point B
2: I place the cursor on one of the track segments, (point A) I get a yellow highlight and a green arrow (pointing either directions depending on position of the cursor)
3: I left click and start building curved track from that point. Then I stop about 10 tracks down... (we'll call this end spot 1)
(all good until here)
4: I go back to the beginning of the track and place the cursor at the other end of the 5 or 6 track from step 1 (Point B). I get yellow highlight and green arrow. Then when i click the left mouse button, the track planner places a track way over at end spot 1 even if i am at point B... and this keeps on going until I exit the game... (that last point it remembers and always starts to built from there.. even if I try to build a new track kilometers away...

Am I doing something wrong or is there a key I should press? or is this a bug?

No, I have tried the Q key also. I can actually go to build something else and come back 1 hour later, and try to build a track and the planner is stuck at that last position.

Can you provide a screenshot or (ideally) a gif/video of the issue you're describing?
Also a save game with the issue would be really helpful

Save game? is this the zip file? in the save game directory?

Yes, it has the same name as the save in the game.

I'll try to explain with these picture:

I created a new track here: See the yellow Highlight and green arrow..

Now I create track using planner:
All done here:
Now I go and create some other stuff.. transport belts,,
Now, with track tool selected, I place the cursor at the other end of the track, see yellow highlight and green arrow:
It place the next track at the last remembered position and not at the place I am at:


NOTE that It works properly in ghost mode (ok if I am in logistic/construction area with robots, but does not help me if i am outside that area

Here is the save game file.

I tried, but it worked flawless every time, even on your savegame, there has to be something else that I don't do the same way...

Something's screwy with that save file... I'm getting asserts when running it in debug mode.

i might be related to this bug?

Ok, now that! I completely do not understand what that means!.. hehehe

Let me try and see if I can find a file from back 0.12, and try and do the rail thing in 0.13...s

I wasn't able to reproduce the issue but I fixed an error which was closely related to the rail path builder so if you can reproduce this issue in 0.13.2 please make a new bug report

I thank you very much for you help, It is very much appreciated... I decided to do this and it fixed it and now works:

I uninstalled Factorio completely.
I saved my save files to a different folder.
I deleted Factorio directory completely in C:\User... (with all settings ect..)
re-installed the game as new...
loaded my last save in the "save" directory. (that same file I sent you)

So now it works.. I'll keep a close eye on it and will surely report if it happens again in the next update.
