My computer shut down from overheating while autosaving. So I had a corrupted save file as the newest one. The next time I try to load a save file I got this:
Not a problem yet. But after I clicked OK and selected another save file:

first of all, reinstall factorio with the installer

It loads fine. And the problem is gone if the broken save is removed or there is a newer save.
Only some minor UI problem.

It's better that you just reinstall factorio. I've had experience with damage from overheating.

That reasoning isn't quite different from reinstalling the whole operating system because of this...
I have verified that no file has been changed, if that matters.

This sort of issue will not be caused by how Factorio was installed or run, nor the exact contents of faulty savegames, but rather how well the UI code handles exceptional circumstances. Recall that much of it has been rewritten for 0.13.0, so there are several issues to be worked out still.

That said, it would be useful if you attached the savegame, as it appears to provide a 100% reproduction rate for causing an error which breaks the UI.

Please upload the save-file.

This forum doesn't let me upload an empty file, so this is my original broken save... To reproduce it you should modify the timestamp or remove other save files to make sure it is the newest.
Also, if I try to load this file, it gives two errors together.

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 32 bit.

I can reproduce that (13.3):

1. add a defect .zip file (just rename some text file) in the save folder
2. go to load game
3. get the error message
4. go to other (working) save file
5. see preview like in the picture above.

Fixed for 0.13.6.
