[0.12.29] Heavy Oil is Blue in Pipes

I was playing factorio recently and noticed that heavy oil was looking blue in pipes. I'm almost positive this is a bug because heavy oil is a dark brown/black.

I am almost positive the colouring is done for distinguishability and not physical accuracy.

It seems odd to me that the heavy oil symbol is brown and the pipe liquid is blue.
Also if were going off how distinguishable it is to other liquids, why does it look so much like water?
